Assistant Sports Editor Jake Middleman provides commentary on the September 22 Home Football game against Fort Worth Country Day.

On September 22, Greenhill’s Football team faced Fort Worth Country Day (FWCD) in a Home game. After a couple essential plays, the Greenhill Hornets secured a 14-point lead on the Falcons. The Hornets started the game with two back-to-back blocked punts. Jake Webster, starting quarterback, threw one touchdown pass and ran for one touchdown, although he threw a couple picks later in the game. Kassidy Woods, Greenhill’s wide receiver, came out a little rusty, dropping a few of his early targets, but got into his groove towards the second half of the game. The Greenhill running game did have some problems, but they were overlooked due to Greenhill’s great defense and passing game. To finish the game, Hayden Gerard, starting kicker, sunk the dagger into the Falcons with a 47-yard field goal. Overall, Greenhill completely dominated the scoreboard with a 31 to 7 win against the Falcons.
